Winter 2026–27 rates: verification in progress

We've asked the office for three numbers, the same three we ask every park so answers compare fairly: the monthly rate for January 2027, the best seasonal rate for November 2026 – March 2027, and whether electricity is included or metered. As soon as Sleepy Hollow RV Park confirms, the verified rate appears here with the date we confirmed it.

What we know so far

Quechan Tribe-owned park on the California side of the river, close to downtown Yuma. Rates are quoted through the park's booking system; we're verifying 2026–27 winter rates now.

The area: Winterhaven, CA

Winterhaven sits just across the Colorado River on the California side — technically another state, practically five minutes from downtown Yuma. Parks here trade an Arizona address for river access, and Quechan tribal lands and the nearby sand dunes shape the neighborhood.

Common questions

Why don't parks just publish these rates online?

Habit, mostly — many snowbird parks are small, long-established operations that fill by phone, word of mouth, and returning guests. Monthly and seasonal pricing also shifts with demand and length of stay, so offices prefer to quote it directly. That's exactly the gap this site closes.

What does "verified" mean here?

A verified rate came directly from the park — by phone, email, in person, or from their printed rate card — for the season shown, and carries the date we confirmed it. Estimates come from park websites or regional averages and are labeled as such until we reach the office.

Why do you show an "effective monthly" number?

Parks quote nightly, weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual prices that aren't directly comparable — and what's included (especially electricity) varies by tier. The effective-monthly row converts every tier to a per-month figure so you can compare like with like. Where electricity is billed separately, budget roughly $75–150 a month extra in winter.

Rates look different when I call — why?

Rates change through the season and often depend on length of stay, rig size, and party size. Treat our numbers as your starting point for comparison, and always confirm the final price with the park before booking.
