What we know so far
All-ages resort right on the Colorado River in Winterhaven — river walk, kayak and canoe access, and an unusually deep amenity list for the area: pool, hot tub, gym, mini golf, pickleball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, rec hall with library/card room/pool hall, playground with tetherball, gaga pit and basketball, dog run and dog wash, propane refill, and on-site vehicle/trailer storage. Rates come from the park's posted sheet, version-dated February 2026 — the freshest posted pricing of any park we track. The $1,200 monthly runs well above Yuma-side parks; you're paying for the riverfront and the amenity load. Office hours 8:30–3:00 Mon–Sat; online booking at RiversEdgeRVResort.com.
The area: Winterhaven, CA
Winterhaven sits just across the Colorado River on the California side — technically another state, practically five minutes from downtown Yuma. Parks here trade an Arizona address for river access, and Quechan tribal lands and the nearby sand dunes shape the neighborhood.
Booking a winter site here: what to ask the office
- January is peak — ask for the January monthly rate specifically, then how November, December, and March differ.
- Ask whether electricity is included or metered at YOUR tier. In winter it can swing a cheap-looking rate by $75–150 a month — and several parks include it on daily/weekly stays but bill it on monthly.
- Ask which months the seasonal package covers and what deposit holds a site — full-season spots at popular parks are gone by early fall.
- Confirm rig rules (age limits, length) and pet rules before you commit.
