What we know so far
Long-established 55+ resort in Yuma with a full winter activities calendar — shuffleboard leagues, karaoke, dances, potlucks and holiday events. Amenities include a heated pool and spa, three shuffleboard courts, pickleball, horseshoes, a golf area, an exercise room, a rec hall, a dog park and 24/7 laundry. The winter monthly rate is the back-in space rate plus metered electricity; pull-through sites and 3-to-6-month packages lower the effective cost, and Good Sam, AAA, military and first-responder discounts apply.
The area: Yuma
Central Yuma parks put you closest to daily life: Old Town and the riverfront, the medical corridor, big-box shopping, and the quick run down to Los Algodones for dental and pharmacy trips. Streets fill with returning winter regulars by November, and the established parks here tend to trade resort polish for location and price.
Booking a winter site here: what to ask the office
- January is peak — ask for the January monthly rate specifically, then how November, December, and March differ.
- Ask whether electricity is included or metered at YOUR tier. In winter it can swing a cheap-looking rate by $75–150 a month — and several parks include it on daily/weekly stays but bill it on monthly.
- Ask which months the seasonal package covers and what deposit holds a site — full-season spots at popular parks are gone by early fall.
- Confirm rig rules (age limits, length) and pet rules before you commit.
